The Legend of The Mother of The Sea
So many years ago, when the only food of villagers was fish, men used to go fishing and spent all day on their boats.
Sometimes they dived deep and swim. Once, when a fisherman was swimming in the deep he saw a woman looking like a mermaid and she was holding a baby.
He asked the fisherman to make a cradle for her baby and brings it the next time he comes for fishing. The man accepted and came back with a nice wooden cradle.
The mother of the sea appreciated his kindness by giving him three big pearls. She said she will be always protecting the fisherman and help them to be safe and well.
From that time local villagers called her the Persian Gulf’s guardian and lived hopefully.
