Description
The Qizilbash Traditional Wine Red Jacket, reimagined by Roostatish, is a timeless fusion of culture, craftsmanship, and nature. This unique piece is made from a lightweight handwoven fabric, crafted by skilled women weavers in Qaleh Qafe Bala, a village in northern Iran’s Golestan Province.
The textile’s pattern is a contemporary interpretation of historical Persian silk fabrics, now revived using fine acrylic yarns that preserve the authentic aesthetics of traditional Iranian weaving. The handwoven fabric tells a story of resilience and artistry, rooted in rural life and cultural heritage.
Each jacket is delicately machine-embroidered with white threads, creating motifs inspired by nature, echoing the connection between people and land. The design merges the silhouette of Qizilbash tribal garments with a modern, wearable cut—making it both a cultural statement and a stylish piece for everyday wear.
This jacket is fully lined for added comfort and structure, and its lightweight material makes it ideal for spring, summer, or early fall.
Registered in 2019 as part of Iran’s Intangible Cultural Heritage (No. 1850), this garment is more than fashion—it is a living story of identity and revival.
