Description
Patteh Embroidered Tissue Box Cover – Handmade in Shahdad, Kerman
Bring a touch of Persian heritage and handcrafted beauty into your home with this stunning hand-embroidered tissue box cover, made by Gojino, a collective of women artisans from Shafiabad village in the Shahdad region of Kerman Province, Iran.
Each piece is crafted using traditional Patteh Doozi (Patteh embroidery) — a centuries-old wool embroidery technique unique to the region. The fabric used, called ‘Areez’, is made of pure wool, and the patterns are stitched using naturally dyed woolen threads known as ‘Rees’. Dyes are extracted from pomegranate rind, walnut shells, madder root, and henna leaves, resulting in rich, earthy tones that are both vibrant and eco-friendly.
The design motifs—paisley, Tree of Life, Toranj medallions, and floral borders—are more than decoration. They reflect the harmony of nature, the endurance of culture, and the resilience of the women who make them.
This tissue box cover is fully lined for added durability and neatness, offering not just a beautiful accent for your home, but also a purposeful purchase.
