About Bakhtiari Vris Weaving:
Vris weaving is an authentic nomadic craft of the Bakhtiari people, created using the ancient card weaving technique. Traditionally, it was used for making straps, belts, pack ties, and clothing decorations. Origin – Shazdeh Abdollah, Khuzestan:
This belt is handmade in the nomadic region of Shazdeh Abdollah, located on the border of Khuzestan and Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari. Facing many livelihood challenges, the nomadic community is supported by Rostatishe’s community-based approach, which empowers women and strengthens the local economy through traditional crafts.
