Product Description:
Ali Varjeh Wooden Toy (Traditional Acrobat Toy)
A playful and nostalgic wooden toy rooted in Iranian folk culture. Historically known in Tehran as “Barfix-Baz” or “Ali Varjeh,” and in Tabriz as “Rostam Bey,” this charming toy has long been a part of children’s games across different regions of Iran. In Qazvin, children would even chant while playing:
“Ali bala, beje bala” — where beje means “jump.”
This handcrafted toy brings together movement, storytelling, and traditional craftsmanship in a simple yet delightful form.

Hold the toy in your hand and gently press the lower ends of the wooden handles toward each other. The figure will flip and perform a somersault, creating an engaging and rhythmic motion.
