Tajmir Village, the house of dolls, is located in the South Khorasan province and close to Sarbisheh County. As this village is close to the desert, the weather is so hot on summer days and freezing during winter. Two decades of dryness made many Tajmir locals who were mostly ranchers migrate from village to city.

One of these locals decided to build a room as a local puppet museum. There are more than 25 kinds of local dolls in this room and each of them has its own story behind it.

Now, the men of this village are working as the rangers of surrounded environment. On the other hand, women and children spend their time making local dolls from wasted wool and pieces of clothes.

Unfortunately, the girls of this village could not continue their educations after primary school because of the lack of information from their parents and there is not any high school in their village so they stopped the study.
