This embroidered cushion covers with noble traditional patterns is totally handmade by women artisans of Sarmaran village of the North Khorasan Province. The basic fabric used in these cushions are made from natural cotton fiber and knitted carefully with high-quality lining.
One of the most famous embroidery patterns of Khorasan is named “Shamaran”. This legendary character which has been registered as the Iran’s intangible heritage, has the head of a girl and the body of a snake.
