Description
Passing from generation to generation, Balochi embroidery is one of the ancient traditional handicrafts. The design is a mixture of tiny mirrors, colorful needlework and fabric that is soft and also handmade. This type of needlework is usually used at the front of dresses or shirts, the cuffs of pants and sleeves, and also on the pockets.
Handcrafting an embroidered Balochi dress takes more than two months and as you can guess it costs a lot. Surprisingly, women artisans who make these Balochi cloths do not use a diagram, they all use their own creative minds, and that’s why the design and patterns are unique for each product.
The popularity of Baloch needlework products became an opportunity for local Baloch women to be financially independent and make money from their traditional handicrafts. These creative artisans produced a wide range of new products like accessories, handbags, and even home decoration items like cushions using traditional Balochi needlework.
A part of the sale’s benefit of this product will go back to the Seydbar Village project for developing education conditions of students
